More people wish to attend this event but are limited by the fact it takes place in an area with limited accommodation and transportation services. This festival is authentic, unique, free and steeped in local history. It is much loved by all but in order to keep it thriving we wish to make it more accessible to more people in the area.
Festivals bring communities together, foster a sense of pride in the area and make people feel great! Not only does this event benefit the local community but it attracts visitors to the area. People attending the festival peruse the local shops and take advantage of all this area has to offer. Amazing walks, different activities with everything from kayaking to sound baths, as well as visitor attractions.Not only will this festival be a much needed revamp of a historic festival but it will provide a creative platform in years to come for musicians and artists to showcase their own work. It provides a perfect opportunity to bring more tourism to the area meaning businesses will profit. It also is a perfect opportunity to put our area on the map! We are the gateway to the whisky isles, and have the perfect opportunity to reignite this area as a tourism hub for visitors to Lochgilphead, Ardrisaid and Tarbert! This kind of event will be the perfect promotional tool for argyll and bute as a whole.
