Mossfield Development Group is a collaborative community driven partnership spanning football, golf and shinty. Our shared mission is to protect, revitalise and modernise key sporting facilities.

The Mossfield Development Group has the following objectives:
Glen 2 Football Pitch - We seek to redevelop Glen 2 from its curent state as a grass pitch to a modern all weather 3G facility. This will include full resurfacing, floodlights, modular changing rooms, secure fencing and an accessible sheltered spectator area. Glen 2 is vastly underused due to the inclement weather affecting the playing surface and the site not having floodlights for evening usage. Having an all weather surface will open the facility for all year round usage with extended playing times.
Glencruitten Golf Club - Our vision is to build a new multi sport community Club House overlooking both Glencruitten Golf Course and also Mossfield Stadium. This will serve local clubs, schools and families, promoting social inclusion and community pride. Due to the growing interest in golf, our current club house does not meet the requirements to satisfy our ambitions to accomodate our increasing membership and also provide a communal space for shinty and football.
Mossfield Stadium - Mossfield Stadium is known throughout the world of shinty as one of the best playing surfaces in the sport. The aim is to modernise the facility by securing the site with new boundary fencing, install new toilet blocks and changing rooms, improve the spectator infastructure and support wider multi-sport events. The current pavillion has limited furnishings and requires modernisation. This will accommodate our vision to attract and retain the TV audience for shinty and also offer a fantastic new surrounding to the multi-sport user groups.
The project is an ongoing inituative and commitment to drive community sport forward with a starting date expected for 2027
